“I’ll Take Full Responsibility” it wasn’t the Coach, Caitlin Clark Beckons on the fans😢 Over Shameful Loss

the Indiana Fever’s dominant comeback win over the New York Liberty, the WNBA’s top team, fans were excited to see Caitlin Clark and company feed off that momentum against the Washington Mystics on July 10. However, with an all-new starting lineup, and early foul trouble for Fever forward Aliyah Boston, Indiana’s offense was a disjointed mess in the first half. With Clark putting up 29 points, 13 assists, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 blocks — Indiana almost rallied to defeat the Mystics.Speaking to reporters after the Fever’s 89-84 loss, Clark addressed a pivotal moment in the game. With 4:25 left in the third quarter, the Mystics challenged a blocking foul against Washington’s Stefanie Dolson. The refs reversed the call, which gave Boston her fifth foul with Indiana down 62-52. Clark pinpointed the Fever’s lack of “maturity” to regroup after the call didn’t go their way.”I think they went on a 10-0 run after that call was reversed and it would’ve been and-1. So, I think it kinda shows our maturity,” Clark said. “We have to find a way to be able to move on from that. Yeah, we didn’t call but be we need to stop right now… At that point, it was a 10 or 12 point game, we weren’t out of it by any means, and then we let it balling to a 20+ game. “It is what it is… whatever they see on the videos is what they’re going to call, but I think we could’ve responded a little better.”The Fever will look to get back in the win column when the face the Phoenix Mercury on July 12.
